Dear Friend,
I wanted to take a few minutes to talk to you, but often my head is muddled with the spoken word, if I don't take the time to work out what I want to say. I am writing you this letter, instead, so that I will be clear.
You have to stop being afraid. I know that you know this, but I want to remind you of just how vitally important it is that you get control of yourself. Remember that movie you love so much (no, I won't tell anyone) Angus? Don't you remember how his grandfather reminded told him that Superman is not brave. Well, neither is Wonder Woman! You can't be Wonder Woman, and it's just as well. You can be hurt, which means that you CAN be brave. Take a risk, sister! It will be worth it.
You know what else is worth it? making time to write the way you want to. Trust me when I say that it won't make you a bad mother and it won't make everything fall apart, like you think it will. Stick to it. Just 15 minutes every few hours. It gives you plenty of time to chew through the ideas in your head and get them down clearly. There is no editing if you never write.
Also, I know that htings are hard right now. You feel like patience is an unattainable goal, and you want, so much to have a full night's sleep, and a day in which you do not lose your temper, or feel the weight of a thousand dishes on your head. I've been told that it gets easier. It gets better. YOU get better at it. Please don't give up.
I know you. i know that you are a deeply talented woman and life isn't easy right now. THings seem to be changing too fast and you aren't sure you can keep up with them. You are afraid you are losing yourself, and afraid that some part of you have atrophied. DOn't be afraid. Don't be afraid. I'll be here for you if you need me. I am always here for you if you need me. You only need to take a minute to reach out. You don't have to say anything to me. I already know how it feels. WE can just be together and breathe. That's what you need isn't it? To just be, and breathe and to remember that I'm here. Don't forget that I'm here.
Love,
Me.
