I just got back last night from Johnson City. I went to Jonesborough to work for a day in the office. It wasn't a bad trip. I rented a book on tape (The Amateur Marraige by Anne Tyler) and I really liked the book. I'm not normally excited about Anne Tyler- she doesn't offer a lot of solutions, just analogies. However, this book was actually quite good. Very interesting and realistic. It portrayed a couple from the day they met until the day (it seems) when they are finally reconciled to themselves. It's funny because the book is somewhat anti-climactic, but it'svery true to life. I think I know these people, but their names weren't Michael and Pauline... SOmeone read this book so i can talk about it!
