So Jonah and I are in Nashville at the moment. It's been kind of hard to have Josh go back without us, but there were a few things that needed to be taken care of that we couldn't really take care of from OKC.
For instance, our furnace has decided to quit on us. We have a Home Owner's Warranty, but I get the feeling that they don't want to pay for a new furnace and we don't really have a choice but to have it taken care of one way or another. We're still trying to sell the house and we don't want buyers coming in to smell gas or feel the cold.
Also, I had an appointment for Jonah to have his vaccinations. I really didn't want to take him (have I ever mentioned that I don't like needles?) but I knew that he needed to have it taken care of. So, I'm posting this video of Jonah's vaccinations. I do not recommend watching it at all. Unless you are Josh. (we really miss you! And I didn't cry- only Jonah.)

So many of you are wondering where I am... still. Or again.
I had thought that I would be posting a lot more often since I'm home a lot here, but as it turns out Jonah and I've been taking a while getting over this cold and Jonah's schedule has been so completely screwed up that I've been neglecting the blog...
Josh and I managed to leave the camera in Nashville so we managed to seduce (I'm pretty sure she's in love) my talented cousin, Audrey, into taking pictures of Jonah. He's getting much bigger, and a little bald in back. It makes me sad to see him lose his hair. I know it will come back, but he's getting big so fast. I noticed the other day that I referred to "when Jonah was little." He's 3 months now and I'm not sure how he got to be so big. He's smiling and making all sorts of noise and sucking on his fingers. Someone asked me when I'd start giving him solids the other day. Solids???
I'm just so glad that Audrey took these pictures because he's not going to be so small for long. I hate to miss a minute of it.

Snuffle, Cough, Cough!
Well, it's been a week since we got to Oklahoma and we intended to do some visiting to family this weekend, but instead we spent Saturday morning in bed, got up around noon and went to Wal-Mart for cold meds.
By "we" I mean all 3 of us.
Jonah's taking his first cold very well. He's been as snotty as Josh or I have been, but he's been happy and playful despite it. We bought some baby vicks and I rubbed it on his chest. He seemed interested in the smell. Right now he's napping on the couch between us.
Also, my dear cousin Audrey took pictures of him, but she hasn't posted them yet, so neither have I. Jonah seems to really like Audrey and was in a good mood for the pictures, so he's actually smiling in a couple. What can I say? He's perfect.
Josh is glad his first week is over. He's still feeling apprehensive about teaching, but it is very different from what he was doing and it may take a while for him to find his stride. We'll see how it goes. I've been offering him teaching tips from my vast experience (ha!) so maybe I'm being helpful (or annoying).

Where in the world is Chara Watson?
Well, after weeks of silence, here I am again.
But where exactly am I?
Good question. Josh's first class was Monday morning and Jonah and I decided (after a long talk) that we didn't want to be away from him. So, we packed up in a hurry and took of last Thursday for the wilds of Oklahoma. We assumed the wilds would be a bit colder than the mild mid-60's this week produced, so we're a bit overdressed- but we're here.
Jonah dealt with the 12 hour trip pretty well, though the last day and a half of rest and immobility has been refreshing. It's also been nice to spend a bit of time with my cousin Audrey, who has been preparing to return to school in Austin, but has graciously spent quite a bit of time with us anyway.
Josh said that his first day of classes went well. Since it mostly just involved handing out the syllabus and introducing himself he felt pretty good about it. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
Oops, Jonah's waking up... more in a little while
